David Antar is a true entrepreneur at heart, with over 30 years in the security industry. Over that time, he has started several successful high-tech companies based on a keen ability to understand the needs of his customers and the trends in the marketplace that drive business growth. His companies include A+ Technology & Security Solutions, IPVideo Corporation, A+ STEM Labs, and Global Fusion Center. In 2012 they were combined under the holding company Advance Convergence Group.
David first got involved with LISTnet in 1998 when he moved into the Long Island Tech Center in Great River. Since then, he has grown A+ Technology & Security into one of the national leaders in video surveillance and security. One of the latest things he is excited about is the IPVideo’s HALO IoT Smart Sensor. This groundbreaking device can be used to monitor a spectrum of things including chemicals, air quality, audio analytics and vaping (for example, in schools). It is manufactured on Long Island and there is a network of 900+ dealers that sell it worldwide.
Another area of growth has been Global Fusion Center’s high-tech virtual guarding. COVID had made companies cautious about who they allow in their facilities and also created hiring challenges. Virtual guarding allows using cameras and artificial intelligence to trigger events back at a manned 24/7 command center.
